Star Wars Role-Playing Game: Force and Destiny

Have you ever dreamt of becoming a Jedi knight? Have you always felt there is something special inside you, some… force that will eventually take you away to other worlds? Have you ever wanted to follow in the footsteps of Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano? Or rather Darth Vader, Kylo Ren and Asajj Ventress? Well, this is your chance to test your real Jedi mettle!
After the fall of the Galactic Republic, Emperor Palpatine has drawn a blanket of terror and iron-fisted control over the majority of the galaxy. In an effort to quell any powerful opposition, his Imperial Inquisitors smother all traces of the remaining Jedi knights and Force-sensitive creatures as soon as they are detected. But this galaxy is too vast even for Palpatine’s reach; this is where you come in.
We are recruiting reliable players for our RPG, daring padawans with some free Sunday afternoons/evenings a month on their hands. We’ll be meeting in July (the date published here being orientative) for character creation and to discuss what kind of game we’d like.
You’ve never played a role-playing game before but you love Star Wars? Don’t worry, the only requirement is that you enjoy using your imagination with like-minded geeks to tell an exciting and fun story.
So join our game and fulfil your destiny among the stars!

Towel day!

Back in 2001 a genius decided to create a tribute to Douglas Adams, legendary author of the The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, two weeks after his death. On this day, fans around the universe carry a towel in his honour.

What better way to celebrate than by enjoying the sun in the park (UPDATE: looks like rain, so let’s enjoy the rain indoors!) and playing some games? Let’s meet inside Café Manuela, hopefully we can grab the tables at the back where there’ll be room to play.

Bring games and your towel, froods!

A Quiet Place

Let’s meet and watch ‘A Quiet Place’, a sci-fi horror movie with rave reviews. In the future, a race of aliens have invaded and conquered Earth, following their ultrasharp sense of hearing to track down and exterminate the humans. A family has survived for a while using sign language and moving noiselessly, but some times in the life of a person you just can’t help screaming.
This showing starts at 22:00 at Cines Renoir Princesa (Plaza de los Cubos), and the tickets are €7.40 if bought online, probably more if bought at the theatre itself. The movie itself is 92 minutes.
